Thin clock?

I don't usually wear a watch when I'm playing tuba. I was thinking it would be nice to attach (clip or velcro) a thin clock to the inside of my music folder, right next to the pencil holder. So, I looked and can't find such a clock. I know they make credit-card sized metronomes and I thought there would be a similar clock. Any suggestions?

Another option is the pocket watch route. Not talking about what your great-great grandfather had. Some years ago, I got a heavy duty stainless steel Victorinox pocket watch in a leather cover from Service Merchandise when they were going under. Biker shops sell these kinds of things too.

I just stick to the cheap watches with the rubbery plastic watchbands now - time, date, alarm, stopwatch and doesn't scratch anything for under 15 bucks.

Can you use your cell phone clock?

I REALLY like the idea of velcro-ing a small clock (or even a watch without a band) to your folder. If you had an alarm, you could set it for the end of your practice session and not be late to class. You could glance at it while playing and leave your hand on your top slide to make adjustments. You could check the time and not be rude by making it known you were checking the time by digging out and flipping open your cell phone.

I like it!
