Playing while pregnant

So I realize that this is a primarily male dominated forum, but I also know that there are a few women and that quite a few of you are married to musicians so thought this would be a good place to ask.
The wife is a trombone player and about 19 weeks pregnant with our first kid. When she plays her trombone (collegiate pep band) the baby starts moving, kicking, or doing whatever it is that little babies do inside of their mothers. She is a little concerned whether the baby is moving because he likes it or doesn't like it. She says that he is very active when the music is going, both from the band and from the bass heavy music over the PA system.
Is playing while pregnant ok for the baby and the mother? We both realize that lung capacity is diminished because of the loss of space, but is there anything else to be concerned about?
