HI-
I got so sick and tired of Firefox as my browser on my Mac that I just switched to Safari--huge improvement.

In the random category (as it would be even if I was sitting at your machine):
The version of Flashblock must be the correct one for your version of Firefox. If you upgraded to Firefox V.3 and didn't upgrade Flashblock, you'll get problems (I did). When I went through a major upgrade of Firefox, I had to start over with installing plug-ins.

I have Adblock and AdBye on firefox, and I don't see a single ad anywhere...
Unluckly, it also has gotten rid of the good ads on here too...

Another vote for Adblock Plus for FireFox: https://adblockplus.org/en/ I haven't had to endure any of those annoying ads on TubeNet, or any other site for years now. Never have had to mess with any flash blocking, no ads get through.

I use Linux on my (ancient) PC.
Not always pretty, never the easiest, but it does what I want it to, using Firefox, without the dancing girls and dating ads

Joe, just get an iPad. All your flash ads will be automatically blocked, due to overwhelmingly sophisticated technology.

Re: flash block for firefox browser impotent
I'm actually just thrilled to read that iPad & iPhone have come out without Flash support. It's good for me, because the relatively obscure platform I use doesn't support it either, and it's good for everyone because Flash is a bloated waste of computer resources that far outstrips any good it could possibly do. Now that a lot of people are out there on the web without it, maybe that will reverse the trend of gratuitous use of Flash.
