Two courses here in town, Ken. The municipal course (Lakeside) is pretty good and well-maintained. Info here. You'll have no problem walking up and getting on here, even on Saturday.
Karsten Creek is another matter. It's a private course, but it is possible to call ahead and get on as an unaccompanied guest...if you don't mind shelling out $300. If you can find a member to play with, that's only $125. No, I don't know any members locally (WAY out of my social circles). From what I hear, it's worth every penny. Info on Karsten Creek is here.
There's also a short course here called "The Links." I wouldn't recommend it to my golf-playing canine friends. It's that bad.
I'll catch you around the Seretean Center Friday, Ken...more info then if you want/need it. Safe travels!
