Rasberry Lambic, and why did I waste my time drinking it? Whatever happened to PLAIN, OLD BEER.

These kinds of drinks are for people who should not be drinking in the first place...

No doubt. PBR's are in order, or possibly an Old Style IF I could get it here.

I agree. Corona is not good stuff.
Besides... the idea of the lime originated only as a way to keep the flies out!

Around here we say:
Q "Why do you put a lime wedge in a Corona?"
A "Because it tastes like $#!+ otherwise."
In any event, regarding brewed beverages, read my avatar.

For my regionally inclined friends I would add: Matt's, Utica Club, Genesee, Ft. Schuyler, Rheingold, and Piels. Any takers?

Oly? In that case, you'd better add Ranier.

From the dark recesses of memory, I recall some swill called "Bohemian" ...
That and the more recent Coors knockoff "Keystone".
Oh, yes. Years ago, there was a wave of "plain label" generic products. One of those offerings was ... "BEER".

Nothing better than a 18 pack of Original Coors and a "Smokey and the Bandit" marathon!

A lambic is a low hop, low malt fruit beer. They are super sweet and I normally have a hard time finishing one because of this. As for other beers, if you have to add lime or if it has rice in the brewing process then I refuse to drink it. I want to start taking tours of breweries working my way up to Rogue in Oregon. We have a couple of really nice ones here in Alabama my favorite being Good People. Also, I've gotten into making craft beers so if anyone close wants to have a beer and play a little tuba I'll bring the brew.

Gilmored's invite for a few home brews reminds me of some I had years ago.
Won't go into all the details of why she REALLY took up brewing but, my ex decided it would be a good idea. She actually wasn't bad at it. In particular she made up a fairly decent stout. I decided though that it could be improved a bit.
We had some rock hard molasses chunks for the horses. I decided adding some water and boiling it up and adding it to the brew would give a bit more body. She could not figure out why it always took longer to brew. It had greater depth of coulour and flavour and a lot more of what you drink it for....
alchohol!!!!!!!! It finished at about 9 to 10%. Great stuff for sitting in front of an open fire on a cold winter night.
Back in the trad playing days in Chicago I used to go through a lot of Schlitz dark. The band got free beer and I would typically take a half gallon jug on the stand with me each set - hey it's hot work. One of my favourites was Miester Brau "Boch".
As for Corona - well you can keep that on your side of the Pacific.

Now that Schlitz and Hamms have went back to the "old school" recipes, they are by far the best cheap beers on the market.
