Beer + Tuba Players = natural pairing, but this is pushing it .

I’m an avowed beer aficionado, but I’m not sure about The End of History (and some of the brewers’ other product)... Don’t know if I could ever get past the “packaging.”

That's very interesting. Both varieties of that "The End of History" beer are out of stock on their website, so I guess it's working.

They only made 12 bottles of it, and it cost $762 per bottle.

Certainly interesting. Makes me feel better about buying a $10 fancy beer now. :)

I'd be happy to donate for free all of the squirrels around here to try to keep the price down.

I don't know------------seems like there is something squirrely about that.

I'd be happy to donate some conductors in order to preserve the rodent population... :D

If any of them are copper, please send them to me! I've never seen any copper in a squirrel's nest.

(or, as we used to call our old music director, a "semi-conductor"... )

You are looking in the wrong nests. Squirrels at home built a nest in my Subaru engine, between the intake and the block. There was a wiring harness in the way. No problem! They chewed right through it. I found the problem because the bits of nest I was pulling out had shiny pieces of copper in it.

And on this point we are absolutely, positively, 100%+ in total agreement.

Once, a long, long time ago, in the first house I owned after grad school and having entered the work force, squirrels chewed through a gable and ran around my attic and guttering. I used a blow dart gun to scare them away long enough to hang ratwire fencing inside the gable to keep them out (tempered steel wire 1/4 inch mesh).

I actually had a neighbor call in and bust me for it, and I actually got a visit from a conservation agent, in the middle of the city, about it. Of course, after I explained and offered to show him the damage, he shook his head, apologized for my time as I was completely in my rights as a landowner (even though it was a small city lot) to protect and preserve my property, and, well, the polite summary of what he said was a deprecation of people who called in for nothing wasting his time as well.

I actually have a couple scraps of squirrel pelt, from my tour of duty on the homeowner vs. squirrel front. Unfortunately not enough for a beer bottle cozy, as I found the prep for tanning to be too much work, and now the squirrels mostly steer clear of the place.

Nuclear arms race of the beer world....

"one-third litre bottle for 35 euros ($45) each" = yikes...
