I don't know anything about grooming cats. But, I do know something about grooming dogs. Andis and Wahl are two popular brands with dog groomers. You might be able to pick these up at box stores like PetSmart; but you can usually get all dog-related items cheaper from dog show suppliers (e.g. http://www.3cdog.com/).
