POLL: When and where do you browse TubeNet
Must be a slow morning. I see that there are only two TubeNet members on-line at this moment... Donn, me, and 0 guests. I'm just curious.... when do most of you browse TubeNet?

Re: POLL: When and where do you browse TubeNet
Usually when I wake in the morning I will have a quick look, then intermittently during the day in a break from work, or whatever. I may look anything from half dozen times to nothing in a day depending on what is going on in my 'real' life and if there are any interesting discussions underway. Even when out for the day, or on holiday I may sometime check/post using my Netbook, or Blackberry.
Is it just me, or is there less interesting stuff than there used to be?

Re: POLL: When and where do you browse TubeNet
I needed two votes. From work 8AM to noon and noon to 5PM. When I am waiting for some sort of electronic response that ties me to the screen with nothing else to do, I browse TubeNet.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I hop on Tubenet a lot, especially if there is a thread I find interesting. The thread on practice was one of the most useful to date for me.
Beginning again to be a tuba player.

I had to say "none of the above". Before work, 0400-0500 local time, usually. Occasionally in the evening, 1600-1700. Both from home; won't access the net at work.

I guess "from home." I work from home though, so could also say "from work."

Realizing that I should have given more options.... I've revised the poll by indicating that you can have two votes and also adding a new category.tbn.al wrote:I needed two votes. This is just a matter of my curiosity, anyway. Nothing scientific here!

It's just the "August lull" -- happens every year. Marty's right -- in about a month, "the fit will hit the shan" (this also happens every year). Re: POLL: When and where do you browse TubeNet
I have not been visiting the TubeNet very much recently, but I think that it's more about not feeling very connected to the tuba community out here in the wilds of Northwest Ohio. As a college professor I have a lot of flexibility about what I do during the day other than the few hours a week during which I have classes to teach. I put any time of the day or night because of this.

Re: POLL: When and where do you browse TubeNet
My primary browsing is done at home in the evening but I do occasionaly check during the day during my planning period or my lunch break. However, I type this from the birthing center at the hospital as my wife feeds the baby and we wait for our dinner to be brought up. Ain't laptops wonderful

OK, so now I voted...fwiw, "late night" can also be defined as "early morning", 0darkthirty in some parlance, but I suspect if you're staying up it feels different than if you're getting up.

Public library, Sat. a.m. when I feel like it. Lately I don't find much to read or reply to; don't know if I just got out of the Tubenet "habit" or if Tubenet itself has changed.
