This has been circulating on facebook, and I thought I'd share it with the TNFJ.

As I'm married to a yoga instructor, clearly we must be enjoying maximum bliss.

For any young aspiring tubists taking auditions, please use this as a guide to achieve nirvana.

From the article:
The orchestra musicians earn an annual salary of USD 50,000 TO USD 110,000 depending on the geographical location.
A minimum of $50,000? Methinks the author knows too little.

Bloke,
I've got one better...being an employee of the state of Wisconsin....just emailed Lee Stofer about a tuba he's finishing because I thought I would be down to visit him. Looks like I'll be doing some long term financial planning to see if I can swing it. Sure hope I can......

Everyone's in the same boat. All states have over-promised retirement benefits rather than getting into unpleasant (but adult) discussions with state employees (as those who over-promised them all these years were - if effect - playing the card game "Old Maid", and figured they wouldn't be in office by the time everything collapsed). Those who are not state employees and hope to live off of other stuff are having their "other stuff" go south...and the currency's value is being systematically destroyed so that - no matter what we have - we won't have it. ...' no politics here. ' just truth.
Not arguing with the truth, fact is the truth hurts. If you've followed the story up here most of the issue is with the collective bargaining....I just don't understand why people think its wrong to get paid for what you do and how well you do it....another thread subject on another board, not needed here.

A group of employees (most of whom probably did NOT vote for the current governor and party in power) is having their collective bargaining rights taken away while another group of employees gets to keep their collective bargaining rights. Why is this necessary? This is about the governor using the state budget issue to get rid of unions and dictating terms to employees--without any discussion (adult or otherwise) and without any recourse.

Those teachers in WI are completely "bent over".

When you buy a service for a price and can't pay for it, you're a (negative remark).

Mathematician is always on that list. I was a math major, and would have loved to make a career as a mathematician. Only problem is, there are VERY few job. Heh, and most of them are kind of crazy!
