I'm watching the news about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and hope that our Japanese colleagues are all OK ?!? It appears to be worst around Sendai, where a 10m (33') wall of water is reported and much of the city is inundated. Has anyone heard from Pete Link?

Please let us know how you are all doing when you get a chance.

Best wishes,

Cam

We are on a tsunami watch on the island of Guam. Nothing seems to be happening but the beaches have all been evacuated and the Governor of the territory wants only those vehicles that need to be on the road to be there. It seems pretty calm to me.

I am ok. Felt the aftershock in Yokosuka. The power was out and the trains were down. I had to evacuate my house due to tsunami warning. I am home now. Yokosuka and the navy base is fine. No damage reported to the ships. My girlfriend in tokyo is doing well. Unfourtnatley the north wasnt so lucky. I pray that they are ok.

Geologist on talk show last nite said northern Japan moved 8 feet. They didn't say which direction. Also the earthquate caused the earth to change its axis. I remember the same thing happened after the quake in Chile.
