I need some good advice on security cameras. I need to set up a decent night vision camera to try catch some vandals who only strike only at night. The camera will go on the second floor of my house and look directly down onto the street where my daughter parks her car. It's about 50' or so. I've been looking at this stuff on the internet but am totatly in the dark as to what spec.s I need to be looking at. Naturally I am trying to keep the costs down but realize this is expensive equipment so I will have just do the best I can .
Any help or advice is welcomed.

After reading your post I had the occasion to talk to my friendly neighborhood liquor store owner. He had someone install his stuff for him but he said he was thinking of doing it himself. Apparently you can get night vision cameras at many different price levels all available at your local Costco. I'm not a member but if you are might be worth checking out. He said all of the cameras there are night vision and hook ups to your computer are simple.

I sincerely hope you really don't have any more trouble with the vandal. But if you catch the nefarious no gooder, give him hell.
