National Accordion Awareness month--June

Post by Brown Mule »

June is National Accordion Awareness Month----------------according to June issue of "Alaska" magazine--------say something nice to your Accordion playing relatives and neighbors---------if their Accordion is not in key of C, advise them to send them to Bloke to be cut down.

I kind of enjoy working on mine, just wish it would stay fixed. There's a key or two where the linkage is loose and every once in a while falls apart, disconnecting the middle register valve for that key.

Why are you so concerned with eagles, anyway? Besides, the thread pertains to accordian, not eagles.

How can one NOT be aware of accordions!? Even Helen Keller and Tommy dislike them. Even violists dislike them. Even conductors (gasp!) won't play them! :P

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Once I was attending an outdoor concert by an excellent 17 piece big band.
During a Sammy Nestico/Count Basie chart the leader whipped out a 'cordeen
and started soloing!

OMG! WTF!!

Artie Shaw was quoted in an interview(when speaking of Lawrence Welk), "Hell, an accordion isn't even a musical instrument" Ref: Biography on Artie Shaw shone on public TV in NC.
