I just received some new charts for my community band. There is a note included that says that due to a new printing process "the parts are not in instrument order but are sorted according to the number of pages". That probably means the timpani part will now be on top!
I guess some of the publishers no longer have any monkeys working for them who can sort stuff.
Also.... since when has a treble clef euphonium part been a 'World Part'?
Just when I thought things were getting pretty bad when some are switching to downloadable charts whereby I have to use my expensive printer cartridges doing their work!
I guess I'll get over it. Everything else is going to hell!
Duh!

You mean there's a TC part for euph in concert pitch? Never seen that before, but have seen BC world part... which is BC for Euphonium-Bb with Xposed fingerings.

Nothing is logical anymore in this upside down world---------------I have a peeve concerning the "gubberment" pulling out all the stops trying to get people to stop smoking and drinking , and at the same time states are promoting votes to allow people to legally smoke pot( medicinal of course). Now I'm trying to decide whether I'd rather be out driving on the roads with a drunk or with someone who has smoked a few joints???

Re: New Pet Peeve!
Concert band charts here in the US typically have a treble clef euphonium part transposed to Bb AND a bass clef euphonium part in concert pitch. I'm talking about the publisher calling what used to be that common treble clef part a 'World part'.Rick F wrote:You mean there's a TC part for euph in concert pitch?
