I've said it before to you Joe, but I will repeat it for the whole builder and repair crowd,

I am amazed by the patience and skill that the professional maker and repairman have for the detail needed to make good instruments.

Depending on what part of the 1940's the pictures are from, the young men may have been in WWII.
