Still having a few problems with how Firefox displays HTML but CTRL + SHIFT + r seems to clear things up. Exactly does that command string do?
Looks to me that it does the same things as CTRL + r which is the "Refresh" command.TubaTinker wrote:Still having a few problems with how Firefox displays HTML but CTRL + SHIFT + r seems to clear things up. Exactly does that command string do?
Evidently it does do a 'refresh' and in addition, clears the cache of the page. I had a lot of trouble with Firefox displaying random stuff and I think I finally remedied the situation simply by clearing the cache completely so all pages would load fresh.normrowe wrote:Looks to me that it does the same things as CTRL + r which is the "Refresh" command.TubaTinker wrote:Still having a few problems with how Firefox displays HTML but CTRL + SHIFT + r seems to clear things up. The old rule-of-thumb for Microsoft was "never buy version x.0 of anything" (works for other companies, too) -- seems to tie in with the "Sales gets tired of waiting for Testing to finish & ships the beta" problem ...TubaTinker wrote:AHA! ... Firefox just released 5.0 as a 'security fix'. Apparently they screwed something up last week some time in their automatic updates and had to do a makeover. Damned software. Can't live with it and can't live without it!
I have used Firefox for years and never had any difficulties. They just screwed something up in one of their 'security updates' and had to fix it a few days later.rotob wrote:i like firefox, almost never have any problems, and for my browser games the full screen mode is really cool, especially battlestar galactica online
