Still having a few problems with how Firefox displays HTML but CTRL + SHIFT + r seems to clear things up. Exactly does that command string do?

Looks to me that it does the same things as CTRL + r which is the "Refresh" command.

Evidently it does do a 'refresh' and in addition, clears the cache of the page. I had a lot of trouble with Firefox displaying random stuff and I think I finally remedied the situation simply by clearing the cache completely so all pages would load fresh.

First problem I've ever had with Firefox. I thought for a while I was going to have to go back to MS-Explorer (shudder!).

F5 also refreshes the page.

AHA! ... Firefox just released 5.0 as a 'security fix'. Apparently they screwed something up last week some time in their automatic updates and had to do a makeover. Damned software. Can't live with it and can't live without it!

The old rule-of-thumb for Microsoft was "never buy version x.0 of anything" (works for other companies, too) -- seems to tie in with the "Sales gets tired of waiting for Testing to finish & ships the beta" problem ...

I have used Firefox for years and never had any difficulties. They just screwed something up in one of their 'security updates' and had to fix it a few days later.

BTW.... don't remove Microsoft Internet Explorer from you computer or you'll cease to get the Windows security updates... leaving your computer vulnerable to all sorts of strange stuff. Windows won't update through Firefox.
