Many evacuations occurred, both personal and structural. It was an enigma.

Felt it here in NYC -- I was on the phone with people in Boston and they felt it a few seconds afterwards.

Freaked out more than anything. Oh, the humanity...

Whole house rattled here in DC, like a train going by close. Seemed interesting... completely different from the last one that was more of a fast vibration.

Got a good sustained shake--about 20 seconds, I think, in Cleveland.

I was taking a nap after work (I work EARLY mornings) and felt the shake. It was quiet and steady for at least 10-15 seconds and I saw the towels on my partition shake. Needless to say I was like:  We are not exactly used to earthquakes in this part of the country. Still talking about it on the local news. Now we have the hurricane to look forward to this weekend

Knocked over a poorly set-up music stand here in Deleware... (oh! the humanity!)
I thought we lived here in the east so we didn't have to worry about this kind o' carp!

No, it was a result of the Global Warming caused by George W. Bush. All of this, including earthquakles, would stop if we only taxed the filthy rich more.

Was that BEFORE or AFTER he put on that wet suit/swim fins/snorkel/mask and knocked a hole in the Pontchartrain levee ?
Bush didn't do that. It was Cheney so he could drum up more work for Haliburton.
