I want to upgrade my pc monitor to a 20" screen. I also want to pay no more than $100.00. I would prefer LED to LCD. Which brand/model should I buy?

Can't help with that decision, but I would like to know why you specify LED over LCD? What are the pluses and minuses of each? Obviously, I know nothing, but my monitor is starting to act funny and I may have to make the same decisions soon.
Thanks!

I don't know much about either of them as well, but I did read that LED monitors last longer, have brighter whites, and give greater contrast between white and black.

Keep in mind, an LED screen is still an LCD screen, just backlit by LEDs instead of fluorescent lights.

So, not worth paying extra $$ for the LED? I'm determined to keep it at or around $100.00.

As I understand it, an LED large screen TV is cheaper to operate and runs a cooler. Not sure it's worth paying extra $$ for an LED monitor for computer use though. I could be wrong, but that is what I've heard.

I think at your price point, you'll probably get a higher resolution screen without the LED backlighting. LED backlit screens do have all the benefits you mentioned, but you pay for 'em.
