Thought maybe you guys would have some suggestions.
We have 2 dachshunds, and an ant problem. We have tried the baby powder method with little success. We want to avoid nasty chemicals, like Raid.
Any suggestions?

This was discussed a few years ago. I started using Termidor in 2007 and haven't seen one ant inside the house since then.

Train the dogs to eat the ants.

We used to use an old mix of soap, water and rubbing alcohol (maybe something else).

My dog does! A wonderful very friendly mix of Australian Shepard and Pointer - 90 pounds of nothing but muscle. He's really fast with great eyes. In fact my ant problem disappeared when I got him. Now he nails the thousand leggers when I open the door to the Florida room - they will sneak in the living room. They are fast but no match. I know when he spots one as he goes motion less and then his tail goes to point. He then leaps and stuns them just hard enough to scoop them up with the tongue - then lays down throws them back out on the rug and has some fun with them as they run around crazily and then when he has had his 30 seconds of fun he eats them. If I ever run out of centipedes I might just buy some as he has way too much fun and I laugh hard watching the whole thing. He also has solved my possum/raccoon/squirrel/coyote issue. Even birds over a hundred yards away take off when he comes out.

I once let him out one night and heard some motion off the deck as he leaped off the deck in total darkness - I quickly turned on the lights - and saw a 45 pound coyote develop a horrific look on his face about 50 yards away - I think he left skid marks. If I hadn't called Bobo (named before I got him at the shelter) back that coyote would have been dead meat.
Nothing wants to mess with Bobo!
