As I have been browsing the "for sale" page looking for curiousities, I noticed alot of trends.
It seems that when one person lists a tuba for sale, especially a popular model, a few others will sometimes follow up and list their same model for sale.
What gives?
Is it that they think the original seller has some inside information about a new miracle tuba coming on the market?
Do they think the market is now ripe for their tuba?
Could it be like the "flying south" instinct that birds have?
What do you folks think?

Telepathy seems to be the way THEY post. I think about selling a certain mouthpiece or tuba, and bammo, someone post the same thing I want to sell before I can get to my computer (insert Twilight Zone theme here).

In all fairness to those plaintiffs you mentioned...
The sheer numbers of 45slp's that float through the tuba world at any moment disqualifies it from my rant. You can bet that someone somewhere is buying or selling one of those as we speak and without the knowledge of dozens of others that are available. They are so prolific here, that they should be handed out with samples of washing powder and cocktail weenies at your local supermarket for convenience.
In fact, I would say that the Meinl Weston 45slp is the most popular tuba that nobody admits to owning or even playing. Its well on its way to becoming as big as a pariah as disco was in the 80's.
We shall see.....
