I think it still remains to be seen how much of Prometheus borrows from the novella. Both involve human explorers in uncharted territory that (presumably, in the case of Prometheus) come across a more sophisticated alien civilization.
Success of Prometheus, however, won't necessarily doom "At the Mountains of Madness." If Hollywood has taught us anything with this endless parade of sequels, prequels, and reboots, it is that the studios will copy what makes money. If Prometheus bombs, however, we might not see "ATMOM" for a long time.
