Me too. That's one reason I moved to Massachusetts. Even when it's like this.

I believe I completely understand where you guys are coming from with you preference for winter. My advice: Don't move to San Antonio. I doubt you will like the weather here, very much.
On the other hand, I definitely prefer warm(even hot) weather to cold weather. I am completely accustomed to the typical summer in this part of Texas. Last summer had 50+ days of 100 degree + days. That's too much for me, but it is also very unusual. There are occcasional summers here, in which we don't see even one day that surpasses 100. More typically, May through September is dominated by highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s. Cooler weather is a nice variation, but warm weather makes a lot of things possible that cold weather prevents.
So, you guys that prefer cold weather stay up north. You won't like it down here, anyway. I think I'll stay here, where I can often play golf in January and February.

Here in Virginia we get every varity of weather. We have all 4 seasons and the transistions asscoiated with them. It's those transitions that are the best here but they can be short some years. Because of the very short and mild winter ( of which I feel cheated out of) we have had 3 months some of very pleaseant days with low humidity. I've spent more time out on my screened in porch this spring and early summer that I usually do. Most of it is off course due to the humidity. It has stayed well below 50% up until this week. Memorial Day weekend - off course. The temps have rosen as well . 84° here on Saturday at 2:00 pm and it will go higher. Humidity is now 62%. Too highg for me !

Being of Polish//German/Czech ancestry, I've always preferred cooler to cold temperatures. Warm is nice, hot is ok, but my head bakes
so during the summer. Why oh why did I get a job working beach volleyball?

There are days in July when it is 115 when even I miss shoveling snow in Rome, NY in January. That passes when I put on a pair of shorts on Christmas and grill Christmas dinner outside. Life is a constant trade-off.

That's why so many of us live in these parts. I grew up near where I live today(about 75 miles distant), but I have experienced 4 fairly significant winters, plus a few winter trips to the cold. As for me, I'll take the trade-off. It's about to get quite hot around here. I can deal with that. It doesn't usually get particularly cold. I like that.
