I remember it well. I was the only valve oil I even knew existed from 4th through 12th grade. My trumpet case eventually took on a Slikstuf smell.

Unlike today's oils that you squirt from the bottle, the Slikstuf cap had a glass dropper.

Standard 5-digit zip codes were only introduced in 1963.

By the way, although Slikstuf didn't smell great, I don't remember it being particularly bad either. Maybe your bottle has aged for the worse during the past half century.
