New 'vette

A lot of musicians seem to also be Corvette people (although most of the ones I know can only afford to drive a C4.)
The new C7 has finally been officially unveiled.
My thoughts: Love the interior, powertrain, and frame, mixed feelings on the front end, hate the Camaro-ish tail.

Does a Yorkbrunner fit in the trunk or does it need to be strapped to the top?

The C5 and C6 generations have a surprising amount of luggage space (more than most mid-size sedans), but probably can't handle a 6/4 in the back.
Passenger seat, or...

(My personal LT1 powered vehicle can probably hold a year's production of Yorkbrunners and still get better mileage than most SUV's)

The new Corvette Stingray, to my eyes, looks to be quite Ferrari influenced.

I haven't cared much for Corvette styling since my plain old '76 L-48 coupe.

This year... they look to me like all the other 'jellybeans' on the road.

Dan,
I have always thought the 78 Pace Car to have some of the nicest lines, although performance (stock) left a little to be desired.

YES! Distinctive. It's hard to mistake the identity.

Chevy Caprice/Buick Roadmaster sedan or wagon? Impala SS?

For some reason, I thought you had a Prius.

96 Roadmaster wagon. Last of the real, body-on-frame, 3 row station wagons. 19 feet long and can hold just about anything. Out handles and out muscles any minivan, gets the same or better mileage (and far better than a comparable fullsize SUV) and has style (not to mention I got a good deal on it two months ago for a fraction of the price of any other comparable sized people/stuff mover)
With my kids getting bigger and my new wife actually wanting to go to church, concerts, and other places with us all the time, the Prius was getting tight. Four people and 1 or 2 tubas fit fine, but 5 people (3 of them increasingly growing) made anything longer than 5-10 minutes difficult.
My wife sold her ten year old Civic for a grand more than I paid for the Buick and "inherited" the Prius. I think she likes driving it about as much as I did ;)
When I have spare time and money I have been tinkering with the LT1 and and squeezing at least another 20-30 horses out of that 5.7 liter torque monster.
The roadmaster with the tow package shares a lot of parts with the police package and impala SS, so it is quite the muscle wagon. Plus, since I have my 40's Corvette craving that many men get, the Roadmaster has the same engine and tranny as the auto 'vette of the mid 90's (although cast iron heads instead of aluminum, and a milder cam biased toward torque instead of horsepower). Parts are plentiful and most of what fits an auto Camaro or Firebird also works on the Caprice/Roadmaster.

Roadmaster? Now, that's what I'm talking about! You can have your little Corvette, I'm going for a Buick Roadmaster!

Apparently, I made a sound decision:

(Although my wife's only stipulation for my specific car was that I find one without the faux wood. She wanted to avoid the Clark Griswold look.)

So, what does anybody think of the 2014 Corvette?

Try this "Stealth" car. 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis. Big enough to haul six tubas and driver in comfort. Will confuse dumb public into thinking it is a police "ghost" car thereby giving driver the run of the road. High speed when necessary.
