In case you were wondering...

Hey everyone, this is Bill on the lovely ;) island of Guam. Just to let everyone knows what has been happening:

I can't play the tuba until I have some jaw surgery done. :x My jaw isn't killing me but it's killing me not to play the tuba. That's why I haven't been able to play tuba here the past couple of years. I have to make a trip down south (Philippines--Cebu and Mindanao) in a few weeks. Will be leaving Guam (permanently) the end of June, ready to start the next page of my life to Needles, California. As many of you know, the Mojave Desert has had some unusually freezing weather this winter--it's not unusual to freeze but it is odd for it to stay freezing any longer than a few hours, save for a few weeks. Haven't heard if they're ice skating on the Colorado River... :P

Needles hasn't changed much in the past few years, other than an Interstate highway running through the middle of it. Did you know Needles doesn't have one traffic light? All four-way stops. And everyone stops, too. So different from Guam where red traffic lights seem to only be suggestions that motorists and pedestrians stop before crossing an intersection. And it's funny that I mention the cold weather. Here on Guam, I freeze from the air conditioner.

Am now working as a historian/researcher.

Well...I have been wondering. I hope everything works out well for you. Glad to hear you're coming back to the States.

Tennessee? Needles is in California. But Needles High School's Mustang athletic teams play in the
Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. It was the AA Nevada State Varsity Football champs
a few years go. And I know the First Baptist Church of Needles is a part of the Arizona Southern
Baptist Convention. People go hysterical when the clocks go off Standard Time because Arizona
doesn't change to Daylight Savings but California does, meaning for most of the year it's the same
time on the other side of the river. In Tennessee's defense, I-40 goes through Cookeville and I-40
goes through Needles. It's about 1,830 miles each way. That's almost 30 hours of driving on the
freeway. Considering that Needles is also in San Bernardino County and San Bernardino (the county
seat) is 213 miles away (three hours), the drive to Tennessee could be much more interesting.

Needles, Tennessee. I like it.

If TN stands for both Tubenet and Tennessee, does that explain why bloke spends so much time on this site?

Sorry, just a little slow there. Heh, heh...

But if you were talking to my buddies back in the Philippines about a resto for your old raincatcher,
they'd be wanting to know what you want to eat.

What is that, if I may ask? In the foreground. With the grass on top? and tied up with kelp?

I have no idea. But the Filipinos use the word "resto" to mean restaurant.
And they go to a surplus store to buy second hand clothing.
And their chicken fried steak has no beef but chicken.
