Hello all,
I got myself a pass for a long weekend to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with my wife. We are going to spend two days in Dresden and two days in Leipzig. For those of you who have been there before what are some must sees? The wife is a horn player so music shops and concerts are a must. Just wanna hear what you guys liked there.

Thanks

My wife and I were in Leipzig in 2010... the Bach museum is fun and worth a look; it was remodeled very recently, so it was very nice and had a lot of fun hands-on technology stuff. Was also kind of cool to visit Bach's church, and pay respect to his grave.

We also had lunch at the Auersbachs Keller, which was cool. We ate in the main/traditional restaurant, but I think there's a smaller/modern section for dinner, which could be a fun place for an anniversary dinner. There's another restaurant we wanted to go to but it was closed for lunch, I'll see if I can remember the name of it.

Beyond that, it was Christmastime and the city was full of markets, and that took up the rest of the day we had in the city.

Also, I've seen the both the Leipzig Philharmonic and Staatskappelle Dresden here in New York, and both were excellent orchestras. Of course, I'm sure both cities have multiple excellent orchestras!
