Testing a font option

Post by David Richoux »

Seems like sometimes one can make a " ♭" instead of using " b " but I just don't know how well this works here (or what key combination was used to do it - I just copied from someone else on another site.) Does it work for you Windows folks?

edit: ♭ may be the code but I don't know to actually make it work here.

That code works, in a web page - but as you surmised, not here. They're quoting the "&" on the assumption that you mean to have that show up in the text, and in general they have pretty good reasons for not giving you the option to use your own HTML markup.

For what it's worth, the direct version arrives here as 3 byte UTF8.
