Iwill NOT run out of beer! I made a run to the beer store last night and picked up a misc. case. I have 16 coming over for the game but 1 case is more than enough...............it's my Sunday school class.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Those of us that watch Colbert know that this is actually the Superb Owl 48...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Don't be fooled by the first couple of innings, those Seahuskies are crafty.

Most boring super bowl ever!
Best part was when Joe Namath almost screwed up the coin toss. Glad *I* didn't spend thousands of dollars on tickets!

I suppose if you are a Denver fan or a football fan in general, it could be seen as boring. However, Seattle fans found it pretty exciting….bort wrote:Most boring super bowl ever!

Certainly the best part of the day was the SSB by Renee Fleming: what great pipes!

I have more admiration for Peyton Manning than ever before. The guy took one hell of a beating and still found a way to be civil to the media.

She is a great singer. However, the SSB should always be sung straight and there were way too many meter changes in her performance.scottw wrote:Certainly the best part of the day was the SSB by Renee Fleming: what great pipes!

I'm with you, Mark. A straight rendition of the SSB is the only way, IMHO.Mark wrote:She is a great singer. Re: Super Bowl 48
Man that was a snooze fest. Seattle is one of those teams that nobody, but folks in Seattle will ever get excited about and will soon be forgotten except as a footnote of Super Bowl history. They are no '85 Bears. They've got no real characters - where is their Fridge - or Sweetness etc - they've just got a poor sport taunter with an over inflated ego.
Heck they didn't even have a Super Bowl Shuffle!

In 1986, the Chicago Bears invaded New Orleans. What ensued was a few days of drinking, fighting, mooning, and public urination. And that was just Jim McMahon

Re: Super Bowl 48
Since you probably don't watch Sunday Night Football you miss what I'm sure everybody thoroughly enjoys: Bob's self-righteous indignation lectures during halftime that more often than not have nothing to do with the game or for that matter football or even sports in general, but some moral outrage that he perceives in the affairs of the world at large. He lives just up the river from you in St. Louis. You should go have a visit and display your personal concern for his eye.bloke wrote:I would say Mr. Whatzeeon Dredlocks is only about 4% as offensive as the every-couple-of-years-reappearing Bob Cost-@$$.
