TubeNet

I have recently joined the "smart phone" crowd and found Shazam to be a nice feature. But, for "classical" music, I do find it lacking. For a Jerry Lee Lewis tune, it is fantastic. For Copellia on the radio this morning, not a peep. In your collective experience with such things, is there something better? I have a Samsung Galaxy, if that makes a difference.

I use Sound Hound on my iPhone, and I like it better than Shazam. I haven't run into to many issues like you stated, so you might give it a try. I have no idea if it's in your app store, though.
