TubeNet

It was easier for my better half to let me take 12 hours over the better part of two weeks to build this than to part with some money for a mouthpiece I "didn't" need. And no, it didn't really take me two weeks to build it, but I wasn't willing to work in the garage when the temps were below zero to get it done.

Slick!! That wood looks beautiful! And plenty of empty spots for those next mouthpieces, too!

Nice looking bit of work. Would you consider taking a commission to build another? Could be a nice small business idea for our niche market.

Jason, I don't want to run afoul of the TubeNet sponsor arrangement so I'm only using it as barter material for now. Currently, I'm in the middle of building 10 cribbage boards and have to drill 2,108 holes (but who's counting) for pegs and the thermometer will be hovering around zero again for the next week Thanks for the interest though!

Looks nice. Takes me back to the days of middle school and wood shop. I've always loved the smell of freshly cut wood and sawdust. Probably why I enjoy it so much when working with wood around the house. I remember as a small kid going to the local butcher who always had the floor covered with inches of sawdust. Fresh meat and sawdust - what a combination of smells.

That is a REALLY good idea. One of my pet peeves with used mouthpieces is that most people don't take care of the rims, especially gold plated rims. It doesn't matter how pretty the outside of the cup looks, if the rim is worn and scuffed. This is the ideal way to store mouthpieces when not in use!
