The
tubaman part of my username is generic, but
5150 is my favorite Van Halen album. I wish it had more depth to it, but alas...

Then it fits me perfectly.
Anyway, MJ passed "mentally unstable" about four nose jobs ago. Sheesh

Mine is my original AOL screen name.....Tubaryan was taken already so I added my birthday to the end. I didnt realize that was too many letters/numbers and AOL chopped it off to Tubaryan12. After being asked was I a Tubby Aryan several times I started rethink the name but I started to pronounce it as "2-bear-ee-in-twelve"...liked the way it sounded and it is my screen name for almost everything now.

Mellow Smoke Man is an actual alias for me in the pop music world. It is listed among my BMI alias' and will be used on an album I am working on. Mellow Smoke Man and the Mellow Smoke Band is the working title.
I have been re-recording many interesting old songs of mine, one that's looking like it's going to be in the new Cheech and Chong movie. There may even be a Mellow Smoke Man cameo. I'll keep you guys posted.

Mine for the most part is pretty self explanitory. Its for my 1968 Chevelle, which I started rebuilding when I was 16.

Well, let's see--"Chuck" is what my friends (and a few enemies) call me and the (G) is the first letter of my surname--something I added years ago to differentiate myself from the other Chucks on the old BBS.
Give me a zero for imagination.

Wow! You were born in 1912? You don't look that old in your avatar.

You mean
harold isn't your real name?

Well, I obviously used my real name. But, I would point out that I signed up for the new TubeNet earlier enough to actually be able to use my real name without adding anyting to the end of it.

I don't care if anyone knows my real name, and I don't care if they attack my credentials.
Of course, are you really SURE that this is my real name?
Rick "okay, you are--I've written you a check before" Denney
p.s., "Harold." Hmmm.

On the old TubeNet, I was just Doug, and would include my email address to differentiate from the other Dougs. Then I started getting spam from that so out went the email address. Then only those who knew the finer workings of the old TubeNet site could tell if it was me or not. I think Joe leaked the secret once

, but few people took notice. That's how I learned about it.
Anyway, since I was at Tech by the time the new TubeNet opened up, I figured Doug@GT would do the trick. I'll have to change it when I graduate, since the "@" will no longer apply.

I'm sure that Rick Denny is NOT my real name.
And I'm also sure that the question mark in P.D.Q. Bach's dates applies only the second date. Any musicalologist should know that.

"Schlepporello" is one of the charachters in the grand opera "The Abduction of Figaro"

which was composed by P.D.Q. Bach (1807-1742)?
OK, Wayne. Since you are so familiar with P.D.Q. Bach, I assume you are familiar with his Schleptett. In fact, I have to ask this. Was it written about you? as a tribute to you? after a visit with you? or what?

"Rick" does live and work near Langley, Virginia. What does that make you think of?

So let's get this whole thing straight. Rick Denny is a member of the CIA. To further clarify, the "Resident Genius" of TubeNet is not really Rick Denny! This may come as a real shock to many of you on TubeNet, but I am quite certain I am correct about this. That's right! The Resident Genius is not really Rick Denny!

I could explain it to you, but then I'd have to shoot you.

Screen Name

by kegmcnabb
Keg McNabb (kegmcnabb) is a moniker I used as a performance artist when I used to reside in Albuquerque. It is also the name I use for a stage name in a rock act I work with. I arrived at it because I used to brew a lot of
beer (hence
Keg) and my real-life
Scottish clan (
McNabb). I used it for years as an internet screen name and so now I just use it out of habit when registering for a new list. In retrospect, I wish I would have used my real name and probably will in the future.
Is there anyway to change a screen name and retain my post count. I don't want to be a bugler
forever

Captain Sousie was my nickname in the University of Wyoming Sousaphone line. I was the section leader hence Captain and the new director called mellophones 'mellies' and sousaphones 'sousies' so, to make fun of it, I was called Captain Sousie.
