for those of you who tolerated my raving about it in the chatroom  here are some of the photos I promised!

(Quick run down):

solid ash '75(clone) jazz body
DiMarzio Ultrajazz pickups
2Meg pots
Wenge neck with fretless ebony fingerboard
G&L anchored bridge
Aria 4 bolt neck plate(so it has a serial #!!)
NOT for sale!

edit: img tags didn't seem to work, so I reckon you'll have to click the links
below is the beautiful body:

and here's the gorgeous wenge headstock(and corina nut)

here's a view of/from the bridge:

and her rear end:

Total cost for me was about half what a new-ish american Fender would cost, and quality is about twice what a new-ish american Fender would give me, so I'm a HAPPY chicken!

Nice! did you do that sunburst yourself, or was it already on the body?

My buddy (who incidentally is one of the best ameture bassists I have ever seen) ordered a roscoe just recently. GROWL!

I own a Carvin B4.

The body was already finished, all I did was picked out my parts and pieced it together(with help!). I'm a big Carvin fan.. they're price point is amazing for what they deliver, it's just a shame they're so difficult to find in stores to try out. I suspect that if that wasn't the case, a LOT more people would be playing carvin amps and instruments.

cheers!

Nice Axe!

I have a Carvin Bass also. I've thrown up a few pics for you folks to look at.

I can only remember some of the specs, like:

LB75(P)

Neck through (duh)

Deep Purple on quilted maple with matching headstock

Abalone block inlays (because I suck and need extra help finding my fingers)

Flatwounds (only flatwounds for me)

Carvin does some beautiful sunburst jobs. The tobacco sunburst on quilted maple is beautiful.

For what I paid for this axe, I could barely even get a well-made 4-string from other manufacturers.

Do my eyes serve me correctly? Are those the piezo pickups on the bridge? if so, how do those sound?
