Sad news. I remember from the 1990's my several purchases from Woodwind and Brasswind, all of which were handled by Charlie. He was always a friendly and helpful guy.

All the best to Charlie and his family. These are tough times, I've been through this before with grandparents, and it is no fun.

My one Charlie Krause story...
Many years ago, I went to Baltimore Brass, rang the doorbell, and waited a few minutes. Was then buzzed in buy a hurried David Fedderly, who whispered to me he would be right with me. David went back in his office, and then abruptly but politely ended a phone conversation.
David looked at me and said, in the way that friends speak of other friends, "Charlie Krause -- talk for a minute, talk for an hour... those Texans..."
RIP Charlie.
