Hey everybody,
I bought the Schwartz transcription of the Bordogni vocalises with the CD-R that has accompaniment/PDF files. I cannot figure out how to view the files on the CD. Google told me I had to install Corel to view them but when I try to open the files I get a message saying "I/O read error". Does anyone have any suggestions??

The central point of PDF is that it obviates the need to have the application that created the original file, so any proper PDF file will not need Corel or any application other than Acrobat to read it.
However I am confused by:

Do you mean a Google search told you this or did you somehow buy files through Google? Installing Corel is bad advice, unless the files are not really PDFs.
My first step would be to try to open the files on a different computer (although that's probably not the problem) just to eliminate the PDF reader as a variable.

That's what really confused me because I figured I would see a a zip. file but when I double clicked the icon since there is a lot of data on the disc. Pretty much it says it's a CRD file and asks me which program I want to open it with after I double click on it. On the CD it says it has a copyright from 2003. Not sure if that info would help.

If these files are PDFs and your computer is not recognizing them as such, tell it to open them with Adobe Reader (which should already be installed on your system). If the files are compressed (like a Zip) they need to be extracted which is usually a self-actuating process. However there are some nuisance compression schemes that require a special decompression algorithm. Thankfully I haven't seen one of these in a while but there may be some older ones still floating around. I think it is unlikely any sane person would sell you files that use this type of compression, but not everyone is sane.
