I'm looking for any young, (Or old

) person on Tubenet that palys online PC games. Since most of my friends are a bunch of rednecks who don't know what a PC is. (Not to insult any body who is a Redneck. I'm memeber of your brother hood as I was born in Texas and live in Virginia.) Any body who plays these games online leave a reply and we'll have to get togather and play sometime.
The games are:
Star Craft,
Star Craft Brood War,
Call of Duty,
Call of Duty United Offensive,
Medal of Honor Allied Assult,
Medal of Honor Spearhead,
or Medal of Honor Breakthrough.
Any gamers who have one of them games and play online leave me reply. Thanks,
Benjamin.

StarCraft is nothing more than a bastardized WarCraft. There, it's been said
If you ever play Unreal Tournament, then we can talk.

Now that I got a laptop with a bigger HD, I'll be installing Medal Of Honor once again (plus a few others, like Ghost Recon).
*edit* if I can even find the Ghost Recon disc... ergh...

I try and try and try to play computer games, but nowadays I just feel like I'm wasting time when I do
XIII is a neat game that I recently played a bit(I believe it's based on the same series that the new movie "Sin City" is based on).. the graphics engine is the most impressive I've ever seen, and a refreshing move
away from the "let's make this video game look as realistic as possible" trend that made me lose interest in video games.
Another game I've really liked(though not multiplayer) is American McGee's "Alice", which came out around 1999 or so. It's a trip back through the looking glass, but with a Tim Burton style twist to it... great soundtrack on it by Chris Vrenna, as well.
When I got my iBook I bought a dozen or so games afterwards, but still haven't played most of them as real life just keeps getting in the way! Here's a list:
Halo(the variety in the game made kept it interesting for a bit, but it still got old quickly)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(I enjoy the multiplayer about 2 or 3 times a month when I'm waiting for the pizza guy to show up)
Homeworld 2(truly challenging game, I'd probably play this a lot if I had time)
Black & White(haven't played yet, but looks kinda neat)
Some Racing Game(obviously haven't played it yet)
XIII (really neat graphics, appealing single player.. though I haven't played it much)
American McGee's Alice(the game is almost as well written as the original Carroll novels, great story in which to participate)
Myst DVD anniversary edition(got it as a gift and haven't installed it yet)
there are a few others that I can't think of.. MarbleBlast Gold is a lot of fun(Leland knows what I'm talking about!), too!

lol... Man, that one gets frustrating...
I just put Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer on mine, and although the detail is turned waaaaay down, it's still quite playable, and I think I'm gonna like it. I'm also going to find out how well Splinter Cell plays on the iBook.
*edit* Splinter Cell plays nicely. Very well, in fact. Not all of the texture & lighting effects that you'll see on, say, an Xbox, but it's easily the best 3rd person shooter I've got.
I would still rather be playing Gran Tourismo (either 3 or 4) or Initial D, but to do that, I'd have to buy a PS2.

Why not a good game like NWN-SoU

I just don't get it. I'll stick to games that are 1) fun, and 2) playable for years.
I still play Donkey Kong, and D.K.. Jr. As much fun now as 20 years ago.
Howm may of you still play the games you bought last year? 3 years ago?
Gameplay has taken a back seat to visuals. I'd rather have the playability any day.
Hell, Asteroids is stil a lot of fun.
Thank God for
M.A.M.E.

i've had counterstrike for several years now, shortly after it first came out. which has been years, how many im not sure but more then 2 I think. I haven't really ever gotten the same addiction from any other game.
The only other game I've played for a good period of time is natural selection, which is just a different mod for the hl engine so its got the same control and such as counterstrike! great games... i've played NS since the day it came out and counterstrike for years. Love them both, but i've hated some of the changes i've seen made to the games over the times

Counter strike is about 5 years old, I think! Amazing when you think about... I think HL is among the first games to achieve longevity on the
PC platform... remember, Half Life was "Game of the Year" in 1998.. the Counterstrike Mod was already in it's beta testing in the 1999.. it went through a good 3 years of open source development before Sierra finally stepped in and packaged in a retail box. That's some pretty extensively reseasched software!
The new trend seems to almost parallel television, with all the 'reality' multiplayer games like 2nd Life or a Tale in the Dessert...like the mmorpg but.. open source. Interesting to see where that's going!

Uncle Beer bought an XBox for the little Beerlets for Christmas. Since then, UB's been having a BIG time with Crimson Skies, shooting down imaginary airplanes flown by nice folks over the internet. The chat function is pretty slick, too!

I went and done it -- bought a PS2 and Gran Tourismo 4.
Oh my god.
That's it. I'm done buying video games for at least a year. Between Tony Hawk, Splinter Cell, and GT4, I've got my favorite genres covered.
Now I'm afraid to get into my real-life car -- I might try to drive it like I've been doing in GT4.

I don't do FPS's, but I've been doing all sorts of RPG's for years now.
Way too much detail and geekness for me to bare on the Tubenet, however.
I might lose any respect I've gained

Leland,
I haven't played GT4, (in fact, haven't really played a GT game since GT2), but, if it's anything like GT2, do yourself this favor: do NOT, under any circumstances, listen to the music from the soundtrack in the game while actually driving. You will find yourself doing things you would have never thought you would do in your car.
Also, counterstrike, halflife, they're all good...I still prefer good ol' Unreal Tournament, any edition I can play.
Tim Murphy, who's favorite video game of all time remains to this day Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

Right now, I want to go driving. At the same time, I'm afraid to, because I might try doing exactly that. Van Halen's "Panama", which plays during the intro movie, makes me want to drive fast anyway.
Plus, I've gotten some songs from the
Initial D anime, and those suckers aren't exactly conducive to relaxed driving, either.
There was one time when I was playing Extreme G (300-mph futuristic motorbikes with weapons) for a few hours, and when I got into my Civic, I wondered why the heck it was SO SLOW. Then I caught myself thinking, "Oh, I can bounce off that curb, no big deal..."

Looks like you answered your own question. I've been relegated to playing my favorite Nintendo games on the computer, via an emulator as of late. Not bad, except the controller I'm using is a Playstation layout.
Of course, one of these days, I'll spend the $26 and buy one of these:
