If you could arrange one piece for brass?

Post by scottw »

What would it be? Maybe some piece you heard for the first time and thought how perfect it would be for brass? Or something which had a strong brass emphasis which you think could be expanded? I'd love to hear your ideas! :D

The scherzo from Bruckner's Sym. #4. This has already been arranged for 12 horns + brass quintet, but I'm going to do my own transcription for british brass band.

I'm currently working on an arrangement of the Nocturne from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream.
