Our house was hit by lightning yesterday afternoon. These Texas t-storms are really intense! What an explosion. It knocked out electric and shot an electric outlet across the room. We're fine. The house itself seems OK. The FD and police came, but they said an electrician has to come out to certify all is well before the power is attempted to be turned on. I know my garage door opener, one outlet in my living area and my coffee maker are fried. I fear my tv and stereo equipment may be fried too. Waiting for an electrician to get back to me now.
