I see they destroyed the box.
Was the bag missing or destroyed??

That was my thought too. You can see what appears to be the impression of the tine in the box.bloke wrote:forklift-itis, perhaps.

So … if the box was empty (save for the blue piece of paper), how do you know they actually destroyed your gig bag? It could be that the bag itself is fine. They may simply have destroyed the box and lost the bag; or maybe the postal works mistook it for a portable privacy shelter and commandeered it to use for practicing Tantric "meditation" at work.nworbekim wrote:there was a stamp on the mailing label (which i didn't upload) that said the package had received mechanical damage, but didn't say what kind. the blue piece of paper explains that machines are used in handling parcels and sometimes malfunctions occur and things get damaged... sorry about your luck.
i took the pictures, began opening the box expecting to see a bag all torn up, talk about surprised when there was nothing there.
in all the years i've shipped and received, i've never ever seen anything like this. the product is completely gone, no paperwork, no receipts, nothing. crazy... i wouldn't have bothered posting it otherwise.

Re: USPS Destroyed my Altieri gig bag
I love the USPS. Last week they delivered a letter body bag to me along with a note inside saying that the enclosed letter inside had mysteriously suffered a little damage along the way to me and they hoped it wasn't an inconvience for me. The letter was pretty much shredded -as was the $5000 check it contained. Yeah USPS - I'm a little inconvienced - but your concern makes me feel all better, even though you never actually took credit for destroying the letter.
