I'm willing to change the subject as often as anyone wishes to do so...as long as I can keep track of what the subject of any given post is.

Mr. Higgs doesn't mention the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" or the fact that Kichisaburō Nomura, who was the Japanese ambassador to the United States up till the attack, did his best to convince his government to negotiate rather than start a war. Obviously, and quite regrettably, his efforts failed.

Yeah, if you look at the states that have actually decided that personal freedom beats a failed drug war, it's clear that there isn't much of a correlation with the every-man-for-himself teenage Ayn Rand fantasy society that otherwise seems to be the Libertarian ideal. People think of it as sort of a buttoned-down anarchism, but anarchism is really much more responsible. I'd be an anarchist if I had the social skills.
