PS. Joe, you sound more and more like Michael Moore in saying there is no difference between Dems & Repubs.....granted, weak candidates this year, but a HUGE difference between the two organizations.....oh well, at least it is not 'Lying Ted'.... :mrgreen:

I wasn't a Trumpster, but that's worth the price of admission right there!!

Republicans: Lincoln (tariff war on southern America - 3/4 million killed...mostly on his side), Bush's (Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.), as, again, both Lincoln and the Bush's were big-governent statist/progressives)

You can't be serious.....speaking of Lincoln and Bush together in one breath :shock:

Makes you wish Obama could be like FDR, and run for another term... 8)

PS. The most important difference in the Left vrs the Right for this election:
Who gets to nominate Supreme Court candidates....

Mr. Higgs doesn't mention the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" or the fact that Kichisaburō Nomura, who was the Japanese ambassador to the United States up till the attack, did his best to convince his government to negotiate rather than start a war. Obviously, and quite regrettably, his efforts failed.

The Lovely Naoko and I visited Hiroshima the last time we were in Japan together. Quite the sobering experience.

Yeah, if you look at the states that have actually decided that personal freedom beats a failed drug war, it's clear that there isn't much of a correlation with the every-man-for-himself teenage Ayn Rand fantasy society that otherwise seems to be the Libertarian ideal. People think of it as sort of a buttoned-down anarchism, but anarchism is really much more responsible. I'd be an anarchist if I had the social skills.
