I'm looking to buy a dash cam and could use some advice on which one to consider. There's lots to choose from which lads me to believe that most are cheap and won't last . I'm looking in the $100 to $150 range .

That would be great , Mark ! But, I drive a commercial work van that doesn't have a rear view mirror. Bummer .

I use Autoguard app on my android phone.
GPS logging and speed, auto save and lock using the inertia sensor in the event of a collision. Records audio as well.
I tried the free version first, the pro version allows you to choose the memory location and size of file.
I always have my phone and it leaves the car when I do so no security worries.
