Things they SHOULD teach you in school

Thursday, I learned a very valuable lesson. A lesson that, while talking about my experience, I found that most I talked to didn't know this important piece of information either.
What I learned is this: Skunk spray does not smell like skunk when it's fresh. That's right ladies and gentlemen, my dog got sprayed and I didn't realize what had happened until it was much too late to prevent the damage.
Don't let this happen to you. Heed my words.....If you go out to let the dog in and you smell something that smell like plastic burning, don't let the dog in. I live near a chemical plant and I thought the thing caught fire.
Fortunately, the internet is full of information to get rid of skunk smell. The dog is clean and shiny once again, but the house is another story. I think it will be about a week before we find every last spot that still has scent in it. I figure we are at about 99% but that last 1 percent is not fun to wake up to. Well, got to go. I think I'll open up a window and wash something.
