There are now more cats in my house than musical instruments. Not just tubas, musical instruments. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Bloke?

Cats are good. However... I currently have over thirty instruments in my music room. I only have two cats. If I ever get to the point where I have over thirty cats and only two tubas... someone please help me!

I would send the cats to one of several terror sponsoring States where they will be prohibited from returning.

Hysteria will ensue, but at least they will be gone for up to 90 days!!

Marty, you are the last person I would have guessed was running a cathouse. Actually, I love cats (and dogs), so keep up the good work. Keep your tubas, though. Without those instruments, you will quickly become catatonic.

Well you could replace them with one like mine, who simply will not tolerate another cat. She will try to kill them, on the spot, and the War Cry can be heard at a distance. I wanted a bonded pair but instead ended up with Herself, who owns anywhere she resides. When I got her she appeared to be quiet and shy, but that was only because of recent very traumatizing history, and now that there is no trauma I have the Cat From The Warrior Clan.

This is not a problem that 1 loyal dog can't fix. :)

I'm not a big fan of cats (extremely allergic) but I did have one living in the barn for awhile, and I must say he did a great job of keeping down the varmint population during his stay....

I've been asked to do some bass guitar playing again, so I may pick up one from one of the local used music stores/pawn shops around here.
That would put me at the break-even point again:
88-key keyboard (shared with singer wife), BART 6/4 CC tuba, Wessex solo Eb tuba, and 4 or 5 string bass if I grab one.
vs.
Cranky old lady cat, Spastic middle aged female cat, Overweight male orange tiger cat, Smelly year old female cat with perpetually loose bowels and in heat (giving probiotics and fixing soon, in more ways than one.)

I had a friend like that in junior high school. We both had one instrument: our school band horns. His folks had to cats. I managed to multiply geometrically the number of instruments I own over the course of decades. OTOH, both his number of instruments and number of cats has grown slowly, but linearly, in parallel fashion.
