I don't know if this is real or not. If it is it's a wonder anyone who works there can get anything done.
The video is called "10 Bullets" by Tom Sachs. It's required viewing by all employees and is a micro mangers dream come true.

I was prepared to be revolted by overbearing management, that has too much time on their hands and an inflated sense of the importance of whatever they learned at their last management workshop.

But this seemed like pretty good stuff. It's the opposite of my style, but I'd either be a catastrophically bad shop hand, or I'd change my ways in this direction. I can imagine a lot of young people with little experience in collaborative shop work coming into a place like that eager to use their skills at soldering and sawing and getting stuff done, and being that kind of catastrophically bad shop hand. Those rules look like a cultural tradition that has evolved out of experience, based on respect for colleagues and a shared enterprise. "Commit" has only one "t", though.

' nice to see you posting...
Thanks Joe. I've been here lurking for a long time. I guess I just haven't had much to say. The 'net has become so tuba centric it has surpassed what little I know. I'm just a euphonium player after all.
