My wife and I are planning to have our house resided. The two contractors were choosing between are offering similar work for similar prices with the major difference being the siding manufacturer.

So, anyone have experience with either Alside Charter Oak and/or CertainTeed Monogram and Cedar Impressions?

I don't know either, but you should check for the gauge of both: heavier is better. Also, generally, the lighter color fares best against the sun.
