So... tuba hell is a hell for those who play tuba, not for the tuba itself, nor where tuba music is the punishment.

I personally, i always got along with those banjo pickers i've known, as well as organists. And y'all weren't too imaginitive if you forgot bagpipes...

If anyone is familiar with the movie, 5000 fingers of Dr. T has some fine dungeon scenes where non-pianists are consigned.

Anyway, sorry to derail the conversation from the original subject... I am pretty sure sugar cookies have nothing to do with tuba hell no matter how you interpret it.

Where tuba players are forced to switch to euphonium and play nothing but original works for tuba/euph quartet.
...and "artiste level competition" solos (the difficult passages only - over-and-over - and the same exact errors each time, with no improvement...ever).

Now I have been there...over and over..
