Re: Economic Reality
Did you use promo code "BunnyBolden" to save 20%?
I wish that I liked the leather Glenn-made Reunion Blues bag that came with my Willson when I bought it. It was about 15 years old, and had worn like steel. Definitely something to behold!
However, a heavy tuba plus a heavy bag... which sits low on your back... just didn't work out for me.

Well, if stuck with a too-big bag and a very expensive tuba, I'd acquire some cheap bed pillows and make sure it got snugged up. Cheaper than a fancy bag, more hassle, but cheaper.

Re: Economic Reality
I recently got my fourth Cronkhite. Sure they're not cheap, but of all the ones I've tried, they seem to be the easiest by far for me to handle. So the price difference is worth it to me.roweenie wrote:Amen.bloke wrote:The only bags I have are California-made RB and (currently: only one) labeled "Cronkhite".

No argument, they are the best, as far as I'm concerned.Heavy_Metal wrote:I recently got my fourth Cronkhite. Paying 50% more for the same item a year and a half later, I'm not so sure about.

Guess which one will be set ablaze in my back yard, once I get adequate breathing protection to save me from the toxic fumes it will likely belch into the beautiful Yazoo City sky...
I am so glad you didn't do that. The Wessex bag is working wonderfully on my Amati btw. It's almost broken in and it went smoothing getting it in and out for my gig last night!
You can't play a sad song on ukulele. That's what the tuba is for.
