Clearly asking unclearly for clarification is a bad idea.

I meant to ask what makes a loud instrument in bloke's hands a bad idea?

I presently assume i am far enough away i couldn't hear anything.

Or a Jumbo sousa generaly a bad idea?

I been hesitent to post this here, as i actually wanna implement it some day, like a helix trombone slide... Unlike the the helix trombone slide, this is well within my capabilities. I'm just slacking.

You didn't see my high school band half-time program that involved lining up every player around the perimiter of the field half-way through the second quarter to intimidate the opposition, then as soon as the teams cleared, yes, we had a "run-on" to the field to our positions to start the show. So yes, I have run with a souzy!

Any answer other than "no" to this question viewtopic.php?f=2&t=88367#p659525 involves a possibly different sort of restoration as well potential repair and maintainace efforts that are antiproductive to preservation, with no promise of even remotely satisfactory results. Do you want to know what sound you could get out of 'em? Or what they could do in their hay day in the hands of folk who played 'em all their life? Anyway, a whole nest of worms without touching a tool, let alone an instrument. And i don't even know what i'm talking about.

But wouldn't a tuba library be cool?
