yes, but at that age...........
to even have that maturity to go and follow through with preparing for this piece, it shows how talented and willing she is to commit to that instrument.

There's always going to be someone better than you at something, but there's always going to be someone who's worse than you.
That's why, IMHO, it's useless to dwell on how you fare in relation to others.
Focus on the things you control, (Your attitude and your work ethic) stop thinking that you aren't good. It's alright to appreciate the talent of others, and maybe a better title for your post (And a better way to see it for yourself) would have been, "Guys, look at this awesome video, this kid is amazing!!!!" (Or somethins less hokey)

That's how I look at it. Thank you, whoever you are!

I guess the idea that there is always someone better and someone worse than we are is true, but the flip side of this way of thinking is that we are accepting mediocrity in ourselves and our own playing. My goal is continual improvement to become the best player I can realistically become. Each practice session I hope to come out being able to do something better than I played it going in. I applaud this young girls accomplishments, but it doesn't make me feel bad that I'm not at her level, nor do I feel bad for her that her parents pushed her to come to this level at such an early age. If she didn't have some internal drive and desire to pursue this I'm sure no amount of parental pressure could have gotten her to this level of excellence.

Yeah, I got World Class Sound as well as the talent.
But I couldn’t take the stress so I found insurance suited me better...

I thought I was pretty good as a high school trumpet player. And then I got to college and sat in section beside a lady who went on to get her master's in trumpet performance, came back to our undergrad to teach and play principal in the regional symphony. And that is why (among many other reasons) I play low brass.

I give up....
What happens when i realize how untalented i am?
I imagine there will finally be hope for me. Maybe even something to aspire to? Wouldn't that be nice!
And responding to the earlier mention of dirt, how often do i get to quote Robert Service?
"There's naught so clean as honest dirt."

When you realize how untalented you are, you go do something else to make a living.
I have musical talent out the wazoo but my physical talent is only intermediate level; like, not everyone is ever going to be able to do even a five minute mile. When I figured that out, I went and did something else. I watched someone I grew up with who was clearly less musically talented but able to be physically consistent, go on and play in Atlanta. I could never have done that, and she could never, ever, EVER have been an engineer.
