I hope you never get diagnosed with celiac disease - I guarantee you won't be happy (unless you want to take a chance with intestinal cancer).

Yes - that's easy - order regular pizza for Ms. Bloke - you eat cardboard box it comes in - side benefit - lots of extra fiber - you can cut back on your Metamucil intake.

My wife developed non-celiac gluten sensitivity a few years ago, so GF dictates our restaurant choices and there's much less eating at home since our meal preferences now differ so much. However, one of our favorite places is a pizza joint! While not on the menu, they will do a "crustless pizza" for her, amounting to everything you normally get, layered on a metal baking dish instead of a crust. They tried GF crust for a while, but it was dreadful. Thank goodness they figured out the crustless thing.

GF is a pain. She wanted lobster for her birthday dinner last weekend, and here in Flyover, USA, the choice for that is Red Lobster. However, she couldn't have the lobster because according to their allergens chart nearly everything on the menu had a wheat-based ingredient in the preparation. Adding insult, I'm allergic to shellfish, so my choices were also limited. The server semi-seriously asked, "Then why are you here?", and was a sweetheart in automatically figuring out not to put croutons on the salad, and brought a dish of ice cream with a candle in it for dessert. She got a big tip.

I don't even know if corn has gluten in it, but ... I have several times made a sort of pizza like dish with polenta. Big cast iron frying pan, on the flame while I put the sauce cheese etc. on it, then put the pan in the hot oven to finish. It isn't pizza, but there are some similarities.

I love when foods that clearly do NOT contain wheat are advertised as Gluten Free.
