Don't panic, use logic and the process of elimination.
Are you pushing the octave key by mistake?
(However, some may argue that caffeine is also used in the process of elimination ....)

Clearly you have an equipment problem and need a new mouthpiece.

I often have cinap attacks.
Any advice?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Do the panic attacks that occur on the low Ab exacerbate into brown notes?

Don't focus on the panic attacks, focus on the panic releases.

Pre-concert panic attack last night when discovering during warm-up my bassoon decided it wasn't going to play for crap no matter which reed I threw at it. Really f'ed-up the b'soon solo, in itself a rare thing in modern band literature. Mikey was not happy. Director was kind in not mentioning it.
I'll drop it off at the shop when in the big city next week.

I suppose a gag reflex is similar to a panic attack...

Think G#....and go with decaf
Fake a Cough whenever a Low Ab comes up
Excuse yourself for a restroom break
and come back when that piece is over
Ask for it in your contract that you don't play low Ab's
Tell em "It's the Devils Note"
and start quoting Irrelevant Bible Verses
YOu'll never have to play another low Ab again..... or probably anything else

Try fingering 1-5 instead of 2-3 on a CC tuba. You may need to manipulate the 1st slide.
