Here comes Santa

Post by Ken Herrick »

Maybe one day I will learn. Went to the pub in my little community and got asked if I would do a repeat performance as Santa.

Yep, I pretty well have the physique, In other words a bit rotund. NO !!!
I am too old and immobile.

Next to me was a man who LOOKS like Santa, drives horses and carriages very well and every year does laps with them in Santa gear.

I asked him if he would do the job next week at the local kids party at the sports ground. reply: Everything BUT being Santa.

I Have been Santa before. It is absolutely amazing the feeling you get when young people come to you believing you are Santa.

Sooooooooo, I assembled a team where we will have my number one Elf assistant, Alvin, drive a team of horses to the party and I as the 469 year old Santa will come in and deliver candies before handing the magic bag of presents over to assistants to hand out presents as we leave and come back to my place to undo the hitch so they can go home.

It looks like Santa might get interviewed for TV. I think his message might be something like....

Believe in love and friendship. Believe it can happen. If you don't believe and love, Santa won't be around to be 470. Then there won't be any presents for anybody.

Go be a Santa - see the spark in the eyes of young ones who haven't learned mistrust and hatred. You will feel a lot better and we might all have a world to live in going forward.

Merry Christmas everybody.
